We are the benevolent arm of Restored Church Worldwide.
CARE stands for Community Aid & Relief Effort. We exist to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, teach the kids the world forgot, and show up where it hurts. Across Southern California and across the world.
Our story
CARE Global was born inside a church.
Restored Church Worldwide is a family of churches across the United States and beyond. For years, our members were already doing the work. Cooking soup for neighbors who hadn’t eaten that day. Walking into Skid Row with bags of food. Sponsoring kids in countries most of our donors will never visit.
The need kept growing. The work kept multiplying. So we gave it a name, a structure, and a place to live: CARE Global.
We are not the biggest nonprofit in the world. We are not trying to be. We are a small team of people who believe Jesus meant it when he said “whatever you did for the least of these, you did for me.” So we go. Again and again.
How CARE works
Three things make CARE different from most nonprofits.
100% of designated gifts reach the field.
Restored Church Worldwide covers our staff, software, office, and infrastructure costs. So when you give to the CARE School, every dollar reaches Lagos. When you give to a soup kitchen, every dollar feeds someone tonight. We can say that because the church already paid for the rest.
Local and global, not one or the other.
A lot of mission orgs only go overseas. A lot of community ministries only stay home. We do both because the people Jesus loved were both. The kid in Lagos and the man on the corner of 6th and Main in downtown LA are equally worth showing up for.
Real people, not stock photos.
Every face on this site is a real person we serve, teach, eat with, or pray for. Not a model. Not a mood board. A real human. We promise to keep it that way.
The team
Tyler Sears, Co-Director.
Tyler leads CARE’s program work, including the CARE School in Oko-Baba and the local outreach calendar. He keeps the operation running and the photos coming.
Shay Sears, Co-Director.
Shay leads our community partnerships, volunteer coordination, and the Christmas CARE Offering each year. She is the reason a hundred volunteers know exactly where to be on a soup kitchen Saturday.

Our parent church and our sending body. RCW pastors and elders provide oversight, theological direction, and the operating support that lets us send 100% of designated gifts to the field.

Locally.
Long Beach, La Mirada, Los Angeles, Skid Row, and the surrounding Southern California communities our RCW family calls home.
Globally.
Lagos, Nigeria (the CARE School). Mission partners in Côte d’Ivoire (Abidjan). Asia and the Americas through our ongoing mission trips. We grow as God grows us.
Our beliefs
CARE Global is a Christian ministry. We serve every person regardless of faith, background, race, or status. We do not require anyone we feed, teach, or shelter to believe what we believe. We just believe Jesus loved them first, and we get to be the hands.
The legal
CARE Global operates as a benevolent ministry of Restored Church Worldwide, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law under EIN application on file. Donations are processed through RCW’s giving platform once the donation portal opens.
